“My camera is my passport.” – Steve McCurry

Photographing landscapes can sometimes be a really easy thing to shoot, or it can be quite difficult. However, with the right gear, shooting landscapes can be easy, stress free and make the shooting experience much more enjoyable. When I shoot landscapes, I don't typically use a lot of gear. Majority of the times, it's just me and my NIKON D750. As far as lenses go, I almost always use the NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 24-120MM LENS. It is a very versatile lens that can shoot both macro and wide angles which makes it great for landscape and nature photography. It allows you to zoom in how much you want without any restrictions. Rarely, do I ever use supplemental lighting, and when I do I use a NIKON SB-5000 speed-light. I firmly believe in using natural lighting when shooting landscapes as it preserves the natural beauty of the location. All of my landscape photos are shot only with natural light. On top of using my camera, I tend to use a tripod sometimes as it helps to stabilize the scene and create a sharp and focused photo. I use a UBEESIZE TRIPOD when I am on location shooting because I love how lightweight and compact it is. In addition, it comes in a travel bag, making it a lot easier to carry around. As previously mentioned, I don't like to use a lot of gear when shooting landscapes because I think nature should not be altered and should be photographed in the state that the scene is in. Landscape photography is such a beautiful thing to shoot and with the right gear, you can take amazing photos and the shooting process can be a lot of fun!
